Well what a month that was.

Apologies yet again for not being able to give you regular updates but as you appreciate it has been tremendously busy time for the group so therefore our time has been limited.

So here is what ahs happened in the last 6 or so weeks in brief.

April saw us publish our local election campaign leaflet. 7000 leaflets were printed and distributed by our fantastic community of volunteers in Flixton, Urmston, Davyhulme East and West.

May 1st saw us get some celebrity campaign publicity with none other than Eddie Izzard who popped in to poppies café (pardon the pun) as part of the Labour Party Local Election Campaign in M41.
May 3rd saw what could possibly the defining point in our campaign to Save Flixton Green Belt. Labour took seats in Flixton, Davyhulme East and Davyhulme West from the Conservatives, these victories coupled with a Labour victory in Brooklands and the Green party taking two seats in Altrincham also off the Conservatives meant that Andrew Western became leader of Trafford Council so therefore committing to the parties pre-election pledge to remove the proposals to develop on Flixtons Green Belt from the GMSF (Greater Manchester Spatial Framework).

The letter confirming as such was sent to Andy Burnham, Greater Manchester Mayor on the May24th and is displayed below.
More updates to follow.
