With March being such a busy month we've had no time to give you regular news updates so here is a whole months worth.

3rd March 2018:

This marked the 'Breathing Space Conference' organised by all the regional Green Belt Groups, which involved experts in their fields offering alternatives than the ones that the country is at present adopting which is putting our Green Belt and Green Spaces under threat.

Mayor Andy Burnham was invited as was all our elected representatives here in Flixton. None of them took up the invites and in Flixton's case two councillors didn't even have the good manners to respond to their invitations. Viv Ward and Jonathan Coupe surprise surprise!!

17th March 2018:

Since the councils welcome U Turn on the closure of G H Carnall Leisure Centre we have maintained active dialogue and are in the process of arranging meetings with local residents, the Council, local elected reps. and Manchester Giants to discuss community input in to the centres future.

20th March 2018:

We attended a meeting hosted by the CPRE ( Campaign to Protect Rural England ) which had speakers from the GMCA (Greater Manchester Combined Authority) who are charged with delivering the next draft of the 'radically re-written' GMSF with more on the 'Brownfield Tool Kit' which we will trialling after a meeting with Jackie Copley from the CPRE in February.

26th March 2018:

GMSF Public Engagement re land at Flixton Station.

We have sent this letter to the councils chief executive. It says all you need to know.
